Big Boss, also known as Naked Snake, is the legendary special-operations soldier and central figure of the Metal Gear Solid franchise by Hideo Kojima and Konami. A former member of FOXHOUND who becomes a mercenary and the founder of Outer Heaven, he is defined by his tactical genius, deep moral ambiguity, and tragic obsession with peace through military power. His story spans Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2 as both hero and antagonist.
