Davy Jones is the cursed captain of the Flying Dutchman in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Once a mortal sailor, he betrayed the sea and was transformed into a grotesque cephalopod-like figure condemned to sail the oceans forever. He serves as a primary antagonist, commanding a crew of the dead and wielding a trident as his weapon.
